Sabotage (2014) Review

A close-knit DEA team are taken down one by one after they rob a cartel safe house. It turns out that they cannot trust anyone, even each other who they treat like one big family.

This film has plenty of twists and turns throughout with revenge being the main thing on for John “Breacher” who has a few secrets of his own as he wants to avenge the brutal torture and murder of his wife. The interesting thing to begin with is that we know the team did actually steal the money when the DEA are investigating them but what we don’t know is who actually took the money before the whole team went to get it back. This is something we find out at the very end as well as who is doing all of the killing.

I certainly do class Arnie as one of my guilty pleasures when it comes to films so I was quite looking forward to this before hand. If you are the same and find yourself a fan of Arnie then you won’t be disappointed and know what you’re going to get from him. I thought this film was much more entertaining than it first looked like it was going to be. It has a bit of everything in terms of an action film with the twists and turns of the plot keeping you guessing throughout. Obviously I am not going to spoil that, but you probably can guess the two main twists but it will take a little bit of time to get them.

It has plenty of other well-known actors as well, but I have to admit that it took a little while before totally recognising Sam Worthington with his dodgy beard and bald head! It was a good cast which I think made the film more watchable the performances were decent. As long as you go into this remembering its an action film I am sure you will enjoy it.

I really would recommend this to any fans of action films and if you like Arnie even a little bit give it a go!
